Among the brave, courageous young men who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the inviolability of borders and the peace of the people, on September 16, 2000 Otabek Muhammadiyev perished in one of the battles against terrorists in Sariosiya and Uzun districts of Surkhandarya region.  A group of honorary servicemen and cadets of HMAS RU visited the village where Otabek Muhammadiyev born.  Wreaths were laid at the foot of the bust erected at the hero’s educated school in his eternal memory.
