On October 21 – in connection with the 36th anniversary of granting the Uzbek language the status of state language, a spiritual and educational meeting was held with the personnel of the military unit located in the Pakhtakor district on the topic “Protect the language, protect the nation, protect our future.”
The event was attended by members of the Jizzakh regional branch of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense, and employees of the regional Department of Culture.
Speakers at the meeting emphasized that language is the spirit of the nation, the mirror of historical memory and thinking, and preserving it is a sacred duty of every person, especially the younger generation. Opinions were expressed on the current status of the Uzbek language, its international authority, and its value for future generations.
