The Military Aviation Institute of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a higher military educational institution within the troops of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, specializing in the training of officers for flight and engineering personnel of the air defense forces and the air force. Currently, the Institute trains specialists in the following areas:

1. Air Force Tactical Command (fighter aviation, pilot-engineer, military transport aviation, pilot-engineer, helicopter aviation pilot-engineer).
2. Air Force Tactical Command – Air Traffic Control (Air Traffic Control Dispatcher – Engineer).
3. Aviation Engineer (Engineer-Technician) for maintenance of aircraft and engines.
4. Aviation Engineer (Electrical Engineer) for maintenance of aircraft aircraft weapons.
5. Aviation Engineer (Electrical Engineer) for maintenance of aircraft equipments.
6. Aviation Engineer (Radio Engineer) for maintenance of radio electronic equipments of aircrafts.

The form of study at the Institute is full-time, the duration of study
The training lasts 4 years, is conducted in Uzbek, Russian and English.
The Institute carries out the educational process of training aviation specialists for the air defense forces and the Air Force in accordance with the curricula of the Bachelor of higher education during a 4-year period of study.

The main goal of the institute is to form officer cadres loyal to the motherland, intellectually developed, highly qualified in analytical and critical thinking, capable of quickly assessing difficult situations, skillfully making appropriate decisions independently in combat, service, tactical and operational situations, possessing a broad outlook, high moral and moral qualities. preparation.

The main objectives of the Institute are:
-training of officers, military, scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in the military aviation specialty with higher education;

– professional retraining and advanced training of officers;
organizing and conducting fundamental and applied military scientific research aimed at solving the tasks of strengthening the defense and security of the country and improving the professional training of military personnel;
– meeting the needs for intellectual, cultural and spiritual development of military personnel by obtaining higher and postgraduate professional education;
– comprehensive development of scientific, methodological and educational potential in the field of military training, expansion of cooperation with leading and foreign universities;
– the introduction of interactive teaching methods, new information and communication and pedagogical technologies, as well as independent education systems into the educational process;
– development of high methodological and educational potential in the intellectual, cultural and pedagogical sphere of military personnel, leading national and cooperation with foreign higher educational institutions;
– implementation of quality monitoring of military education and officer training;
– quality control of military education and officer training;
organization of work to improve the military professional orientation of young people and prepare them for admission to higher military educational institutions.

Graduates of the Institute serve under contract as part of the troops of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the air defense forces and military units of the Air Force.

In addition, since the 2024-2025 academic year, departments of master’s and doctoral studies have been established and started their activities at the institute.
