Headquarters of the Jizzakh Higher Military Aviation School
The Higher Military Aviation School of the Republic of Uzbekistan began its history from the Jizzakh Higher Military Aviation School on June 20, 1994. Our school is the only one in Uzbekistan and is closely connected with the history of independence of our country. The school has a glorious military past, strong traditions in training highly qualified military pilots and engineers for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and honorably fulfills all the tasks assigned to it.
The Jizzakh Higher Military Aviation School was formed to defend the independence of the state during the hard times, that is, at the time when Uzbekistan was just beginning to rise to its feet. It was during this period that the President and the government turned their attention to the creation of a national army, independent Armed Forces. While observing the process, the head of the state gave instructions on the training of aviation specialists of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Jizzakh Higher Military Aviation School was established on the basis of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers № 310-41 of June 20, 1994 and the order of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan № 21/1/0618 of July 9, 1994. On the basis of these documents, it was decided to place a military school in the city of Jizzakh at Khamrakul Nasirov Street and a task was given to the head of the Jizzakh region to transfer the complex of buildings, structures, equipment and the territory of the former polytechnic school within a month to the balance of the Ministry of Defense.
ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SCHOOL (1993-1994)
The establishment of the Jizzakh Higher Military Aviation School is closely interconnected with the formation of the “AVIATION” department at the Tashkent Higher Combined Arms Command School. In 1993, 100 cadets in the flight profile began to study at the department of “AVIATION” of the Tashkent Higher Combined Arms Command School in the city of Tashkent, and in August 1994, cadets for the flight profile and the specialty of a technician – mechanic for the operation of aircraft and engines were admitted to the department.
On October 2, 1994, the cadets of the “AVIATION” department from the Tashkent Higher Combined Arms Command School were relocated to the city of Jizzakh, and thus on October 3, 1994 the first bell rang, which signified the beginning of the educational process at the Jizzakh Higher Military Aviation School.

THE FIRST FLIGHT
The month of April 1995 was unforgettable for those who dedicated their lives and activities to the Jizzakh Higher Military Aviation School and the protection of the airspace of our state. April 25, 1995 at 8 hours 5 minutes, instructor-pilot Major General G.O. Abdurakhmonov. and cadet Alibekov Akhronbek performed a test flight in a circle on a Yak-52 aircraft at the Khanabad airfield. The pilots performed four flights in a circle with a flight time of 20 minutes, after which they landed. On this day, cadet Alibekov performed an independent flight in a circle and took place in history as the first cadet of the Jizzakh Higher Military Aviation School, who performed an independent flight. After taxiing into the parking lot, the flight and engineering personnel who were at that time in the parking lot, including Major General G.O. Abdurakhmonov, applauded the cadet Alibekov. This was a great achievement not only for cadet Alibekov, but also for the entire school, since a significant contribution of the faculty, engineering staff and pilot-instructors is invested in the training of cadets. This first independent flight of a cadet was the primary achievement of the Air Force of the Republic of Uzbekistan in training aviation specialists. The staff of the school was proud of the results of their student, which added them more confidence and motivation.
FIRST SWALLOWS
In the shortest possible time, the school was able to ensure the uniformity of the educational process. On October 14, 1997, 97 young lieutenants graduated from the Jizzakh Higher Military School. This day became unforgettable not only for the school, but also for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Diplomas and badges to alumni were presented by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Khikmatilla Tursunov.
